We use the AQA program of study. The papers are split as follows for AS Level: Paper 1: Introductory Topics in Psychology (Social Influence, Memory and Attachment). Paper 2: Psychology in Context (Approaches in Psychology, Psychopathology, Research Methods). For the award of the full A Level, the papers are split as follows: Paper 1: Introductory Topics in Psychology (as above plus Psychopathology). Paper 2: Psychology in Context (As above, but Psychopathology replaced with Biopsychology). Paper 3: Issues and Options in Psychology (options to be confirmed, but likely to be Relationships, Schizophrenia, and Forensic Psychology).
Our minimum entry requirements for a full level 3 programme of study is 5 GCSE’s grade 4 or above. Grade 5 in English, Grade 5 in Mathematics, and Grade 5 in a related subject preferably a Science subject.
