Course summary

Media Products, Industries, and Audiences - Examination (35%) This focuses on texts such as advertising, marketing music videos, newspapers, film, radio, video games, and contexts. The questions will be based on media language, representation, industries, audiences, and media contexts. Media Forms and Products In Depth - Examination (35%) This exam focuses on texts such as television, magazines, and online media. The questions will be based on media language, representation, industries, audiences, and media contexts. Cross Media Production - Non-Exam Assessment (30%) An individual cross-media production based on two forms (e.g. Print/Audio-Visual) in response to a choice of briefs set by WJEC. This will reflect knowledge and understanding of the theoretical framework and digital convergence.

Entry requirements

GCSE English Language at Grade 5 or better, GCSE Mathematics at Grade 5 or better plus at least 3 additional GCSEs at Grade 4 or better.

How you'll be assessed

70% Examination, 30% controlled assessment.
