This course has been developed to meet the changing needs of the workplace and prepare you for the challenges you will face in Higher Education or employment. You will learn how a business might evolve. You will consider a range of different business types and their objectives. You will look at the internal workings of businesses and how different functional areas work together. You will examine the various external constraints (political, economic, legal, social, technological, and ethical factors) which will impact on a business and how they will respond to such changes. You will also appreciate the influence different stakeholders can have on a business. You will develop the ability to research, analyze and evaluate information in order to make decisions and you will have the opportunity to gain these vital skills. You will also develop practical employability skills including the ability to communicate effectively with both internal and external stakeholders, and to manage your time effectively.
5 or more Grade 4 or better, including English Language OR Maths at Grade 4 or better.
40% examination, 60% Internal Assignments.
