Course summary

This qualification aims to enhance the skills developed in the AAT level 2. You’ll master more complex financial processes, including final accounts for sole traders and partnerships, reports and returns, and professional ethics. As a standalone qualification, or as a first step towards the intermediate and advanced levels, it will allow you to move up to further study in accountancy and finance. To achieve this qualification students will need to undertake the following units: • Advanced Bookkeeping • Indirect Tax • Final Accounts Preparation • Management Accounting: Costing • Ethics for Accountants and Spreadsheets for Accounting (Synoptic Assessment) .

Entry requirements

A sound knowledge of book keeping principles will be expected at Level 3, or the achievement of AAT Level 2 or equivalent. Those students not possessing AAT Level 2 must discuss entry requirements with the course tutor.
