The study of the production, distribution, and consumption of goods, both at an individual market (micro) level, and at a national and international (macro) level. An interest in current affairs is important. As a social science, the descriptive and analytical nature of this subject makes it ideal for either ‘Arts’ or ‘Science’ students.

Entry requirements

Grade 6 in Mathematics and grade 5 in English Literature.

• Paper 1: Markets and Market Failure Paper (33⅓%) • Paper 2: National and International Economy • Paper (33⅓%) Paper 3: Economic Principles and Issues (33⅓%) Each paper is assessed via a 2-hour exam at the end of the course.
