The BTEC performing arts course offers students an in-depth exploration of life as an actor, through a variety of different units, where students can explore their strengths and new approaches to performing. This course is for students who want to continue their education through applied learning and who aim to progress to higher education or vocational settings, and ultimately to employment, possibly in the performing arts sector. Units: Performing Arts skills development - Exploring styles - Creating performance material - Performing as an actor The Performing Arts industry - Planning a career in the Performing Arts The content of this qualification has been developed in consultation with academics to ensure that it supports progression to higher education and can be converted to UCAS points.
5 in English Literature or Language GCSE. GCSE Drama is preferred but outside experience will also be considered. A place on the course is subject to a successful audition.
