This course will enable students to: • Understand sociological theories, research studies, and the methods used to collect data • Explore topics that reflect diversity in contemporary society • Gain an understanding of society’s influence on the individual • Gain an understanding of their role in society • Develop analytical skills
Interest in the experiences and viewpoints of others. Students are expected to have achieved a minimum of Grade 5 or above in both English and English Literature. Excellent literacy skills are necessary to express complex arguments in a new, highly conceptual subject
