This course will encourage students to develop their understanding of Mathematics and mathematical processes. It will enable you to reason logically and to construct mathematical proofs. Students will recognise how situations may be represented mathematically and how ‘real world’ problems and mathematical models are related, notably within mechanics and statistics. The course also promotes confidence within the subject, fostering enthusiasm and enjoyment of mathematics. Students opting for Mathematics will receive 4 hours of teaching a week.
- Grade 7 and above in GCSE Mathematics for A level Further Mathematics. - 5 passes at a minimum of Grade 5, including/as well as at least Grade 4 in English and Mathematics.
