Grade 6 in GCSE Music or a BTEC Music at Level 2 Distinction and ABRSM Practical Exam Grade 5 and play a musical instrument.
Component 1: Appraising Music 40%. Section A: Listening Section B: Analysis This section is based on the compulsory set works. Areas of Study 1: Western Classical Tradition 1650-1910 Baroque Solo Concerto The Operas of Mozart Romantic Piano Music of Chopin, Brahms and Grieg Component 2: Performance 35%. Component 3: Composition 25%.
