Indulge your inner Legal Eagle and immerse yourself in the challenge of A-level Law. If you love to research, debate, and analyse critical moral and legal issues with like-minded people then A-level Law is the course for you.
You will need a minimum or five GCSEs, including Grade 5 in English Language together with four other subjects at Grade 4 or above (one of the four subjects must include Maths). The College will always treat each applicant as an individual. Should you not have or not expect to obtain the grades stated above, or not have relevant industry-related experience, the College would still welcome your application for this course as this will enable us to identify whether this course is, in fact, the right course for you or whether another course may be more appropriate.
• Paper 1: The Nature of Law and the English Legal System - Criminal law • Paper 2: The Nature of Law and the English Legal System - Tort • Paper 3: Law of Contract or Human Rights Laws All three papers are written exams, lasting two hours each and each worth 33% of the A-level course. They are a combination of multiple choice, short answer and extended writing questions.
