BTEC National Diploma in Health and Social Care, (Equicalent to 2 x A Levels) The content of this qualification has been developed in consultation with higher education to ensure it supports progression towards higher study. In addition, employers and professional bodies have been involved, in order to confirm that the content is also appropriate for those interested in working in the sector.
5 X 9-4 Grades
Units 1 and 2 are externally assessed through a written exam which is 90 minutes in length and taken in May/June 2017. Unit 4 is a task set and marked directly by the exam board and carried out under exam conditions in May/June 2018. Unit 3, 5, 6 and the 2 option choices are assessed by the teacher and moderated by the exam Board.
