Course Assessment: Mandatory Units: - Unit 1 90 GLH Investigating Practitioners’ work - Unit 2 90 GLH Developing Skills and Techniques for Live Performance - Unit 3 120 GLH Group Performance Workshop Optional Unit: Only one of the following: - Interpreting Classical Text for Performance - Acting Styles - Developing the Voice for Performance -Variety Performance - Movement in Performance - Musical Theatre Techniques - Improvisation
Minimum entry Guidelines: 5 GCSEs with a mixture of 9 to 4 grades. Students do not need to have completed a GCSE or BTEC in Drama or Performing Arts. However, a Level 5 in English Literature will help with the written aspect of the course.
Unit 1 - 30% written examination. Unit 2 - 20% practical performance with a logbook. Unit 3 - 30% practical examination with performance. Optional Unit - 20% practical performance with a logbook.
