The course provides an opportunity to gain a sound understanding of Biology, through the study of fundamental biological principles, whilst also exploring modern applications of Biology. The course looks at how Biology relates both to ourselves and to the world we live in. It builds on the key areas of biology introduced at GCSE and links these to new topics. You will be introduced to the skills needed for investigative practical work. You will carry out mathematical analysis and use a wide range of resources to develop the knowledge base required for the subject.
