This course will suit you if you have a passion for sport and ar interested in the science,psychology, current and historical issues associated with sport. PE is fascinating, varied and challenging with an interesting range of topics: the science of the human body, the psychology of the performers' mind, the analysis and improvement of performance and the current and historical issues associated with sport. Much of the knowledge and understanding gained on the course can be applied to you as a sportsperson and used to improve your personal performance. You will develop knowledge and skills to help understand the opportunities for, and effects of leading a healthy and active lifestyle. You will also develop knowledge in the following areas : sport psychology, exercise physiology, sport and society, showing application to sporting contexts. You will utilise your own knowledge and understanding developed during the course to analyse your own personal performance.
- 5 GCSEs at grade 5 and above this must include GCSE Maths and GCSE English (Language or Literature)
70% Examination, 30% Practical.
