Course summary
Fine Art: Students are required to work in one or more area(s) of fine art, such drawing and painting, mixed-media, including collage and assemblage, sculpture, printmaking, relief, intaglio, screen processes and lithography and photography. There are 2 components: Component 1: Personal Investigation This is a practical investigation supported by written material. Students are required to conduct a practical investigation, into an idea, issue, concept or theme, supported by written material (3000-word written essay). Component 2: Externally Set Assignment Preparatory Element; Students will produce a portfolio of work through practical responses with written annotations from a choice of questions set by the exam board. 15-hour exam period- Students will produce a completed Final outcome.
