Students develop a knowledge and understanding of how society affects individuals and how individuals affect society. Sociology at A level is an interesting and stimulating course, which gives students an opportunity to demonstrate their knowledge and understanding of the subject; interpret various forms of material; analyse social issues and present explanations, ideas and arguments. It provides students with the opportunity to develop many skills which will be of use to them in Higher Education, or indeed, all types of employment.
