Course summary

Unit One ‘The Tudors’ looks at how the Tudor family set about becoming a powerful monarchy and the ways in which they dealt with problems both at home and abroad. Unit Two ‘Democracy and change in Germany 1918-1945’ looks at the birth and destruction of the Weimar government and the rise of the fascist state under the Nazis. Unit Three- coursework element where students can pick a topic to carry out personal research on an issue of interest. Units One and Two are both assessed by examinations at the end of the two year course.
