The examination is a natural extension to GCSE Design and Technology courses, offering students the opportunity to develop their interest, knowledge and understanding of design and its technological application. The course is taught through a number of design experiences, leading all candidates to create their own portfolio of work for assessment. Their understanding of materials and components will be developed through their coursework in Unit 2.
A grade 5 or above in Design and Technology.
