This course will suit you if you are creative, committed, hard-working, enjoy performing in front of an audience as part of an ensemble and individually, enjoy reading, enjoy taking part in discussions and are not afraid to ask questions. This course will also suit you if you are interested in theatre design. This is a course that asks a lot of you. At times you will feel out of control and terrified; you'll experience frustration and intense fulfilment in equal doses. You will study a range of texts from various playwrights and in various styles. You will work on these practically and theoretically, and develop your skills as a performer and a designer. You will create an original performance piece, take part in a group performance, and you will also perform a monologue or duologue performance.
- 5 GCSEs at grade 5 and above this must include GCSE Maths and GCSE English (Language or Literature)
60% Examination(20% practical, 40% written), 40% Coursework (assessed through practical and portfolio).
