At Kingsmeadow, we offer an enrichment programme which is designed to further develop our students’ skills and qualities, and enhance their application to universities. The programme will provide opportunities to extend the students’ academic development and help them prepare for their next steps in their educational journey. Year 12 and 13 students will complete the level 3 Extended Project Qualification in addition to their three A level choices. This qualification is worth half an A level (28 UCAS points) and can be used as part of their university applications. This qualification involves students undertaking an independent research project in any area of their choice - it allows the student to explore an area of interest in great depth. The EPQ provides valuable opportunities for students to develop skills in areas such as research, analytical thinking, project management, and independent learning; all skills that will be invaluable to you in your studies. The EPQ is a highly regarded qualification by universities and employers and can help you stand out from other candidates.
