The aims of A Level Literature are to encourage you to develop your interest in, and enjoyment of, literature and literary studies. You will read widely and independently both set texts and ways of responding to them. You will also explore the wider discourses of the texts you are reading and others’ interpretation of them, engaging in looking at literature in a historicist way. For coursework, you will complete a comparative independent critical study of two texts on a theme of your choice.
4 grade 5’s or better including English at grade 6 or better.
