• Theme 1 - Marketing and People This unit covers how a business meets customers’ needs, the market businesses operate in, the marketing mix, managing people and characteristics of entrepreneurs. • Theme 2 - Managing Business Activities. This unit looks at how a business raises and manages finance and resources, and the external influences on a business. • Theme 3 - Business Decisions and Strategy. This unit looks at how a business makes decisions and then manages the change with the business. • Theme 4 - Global Business • This unit builds on Theme 1 but enables students to look at these concepts in a global market.
- Minimum prior attainment which must be achieved to enrol on this course: APS of 5.5 including a grade 5 or above in English and Maths, grade 5 or above in Business if taken at GCSE - Best 8 APS of 5.5+, including grade 5 in GCSE English & Maths. If you have studied a subject at GCSE and wish to study it at A Level, a minimum of a grade 5 pass is required.
