The course is structured into 4 themes and consists of 3 externally examined papers. Students are introduced to business in Themes 1 and 2 through building knowledge of core concepts and applying them to business contexts to develop a broad understanding of how businesses work. Themes 3 and 4 build on this requiring students to take a more strategic and global view of business.
The minimum requirement to take the A Level Business is to have at least 5 x Grade 5 at GCSE, including English and Maths. The good news is that no prior learning knowledge or experience is essential to take this course.
Papers 1 and 2 make up 35% of the grade whereas Paper 3 is only 30%.
