The units of work are extremely varied covering topics such as: Equality, Diversity & Rights; Building Positive Relationships; Health, Safety & Security; Anatomy & Physiology; Supporting People with Learning Disabilities and Public Health. The Extended Certificate is equivalent to 1 A level and consists of 6 units of work: 3 coursework and 3 written exam papers. The course is delivered in a variety of ways from formal lectures/seminars, group work, peer presentations and individual research.
