The Level 2 Women's hairdressing program will give you the foundations of hairdressing. You will develop an understanding of the requirements for hairdressing through practical assessments and theory examinations. You will study a wide range of units including Health and safety, Consultation, Shampooing, Cutting, Colourand taking part in and Work Experience How will I be assessed This qualification is internally and externally assessed through Practical assessments, external Online/written exams and assignments. On successful completion of the programme you will gain a Level 2 VTCT Certificate in women's hairdressing. We expect all students to wear a uniform. Our uniform is a tunic and trousers with closed in black shoes. This is a mandatory requirement and tunics can be obtained from a designated supplier. A list of the kit required for your practical lessons will be given on enrolment which can also be sourced from a designated supplier. All MidKent College students will continue studying English and maths until they are 19, or until they have achieved a Grade C/4. Your study programme will incorporate a Work Placement of up to 200 hours in a role relevant to your study. All students will have access to a Personal Tutor to support their personal and professional development.
Achievement of an appropriate Level 1 qualification or 4 GCSE's at grade 3 including English and maths at grade 3 or above.
