Course summary

Mathematics at A Level is so much more than numbers. This subject offers a number of transferable skills including logical skills, problem solving and analysis. Mathematics A Level comprises several different modules, both pure and applied, including mechanics and statistics. Topics such as geometry, calculus, trigonometry and algebra are covered in the Core modules and form part of the fundamental mathematical toolkit required for this course. Abstract reasoning, logic in problem solving and the ability to perform algebraic manipulation are key skills required for studying this subject.
