Course summary
This course focuses on developing your theoretical and practical knowledge of anatomy, lifestyle, fitness, sports leadership, and practical sports. Alongside the course, you will represent the College and Burton Albion Community Trust within the EFL Trust National League. You will get the chance to train and play on Burton Albion Community Trust’s state-of-the-art 3G pitch. The course combines practical and theory-based approaches to increase an athlete’s performance on the field and increase their knowledge of the wider sporting industry. You will also have the opportunity to take part in activities and visits linked to the College’s partner organizations, including Burton Albion Community Trust and St. George’s Park. In addition, you may have the chance to achieve the FA Level 1 Certificate in Coaching Football (performance-related). As part of your program, you will participate in a number of varied enrichment activities, trips, and visits. Real-life environment assessments are a feature within the qualification. Learners have access to our gym facilities at Fleet Street Fitness. The space is used weekly for delivery, assessment, and personal fitness development. As part of your study program, you may be required to study English and maths if you have not achieved GCSE grade 4.
