The AQA Advanced Level History comprises three components: - The British Empire 1857-1957. - The Cold War c. 1945-1991. - Coursework on a historical issue of the student's own choice. Students will study the first parts of Components 1 and 2 and sit the AS examination at the end of the first year. The NEA is completed in the second year. The Advanced Level History course is taught by Kevin Mottram, a graduate of the University of York (Politics, BA Hons). Kevin has thirty years of teaching experience, including twelve years as a secondary school Head of History and five years teaching in an international school in Mongolia. In addition to History, he has also taught both Politics and Sociology at GCSE and Advanced Levels.
5 GCSEs at grade 5 or above which must include Maths, and English Language and History at grade 6.
