You will investigate how food is broken down and how it converts into energy to allow us to work, move and live. The course includes biochemistry, genetics, DNS finger printing, genetic modification and biotechnologies. You will participate in laboratory work and develop technical and scientific skills. There is mathematical content in this course, so you may wish to add A Level Mathematics or to your study programme to support your success.
