Psychology is the scientific study of human behaviour and helps to answer questions about how and why people think, feel and act the way that they do. The course focuses on a number of key areas including Attachment, Social Influence, Approaches in Psychology, Memory, Relationships, Forensics and Schizophrenia. Key questions include: What is memory and how can it be improved? Are people born criminals? How do our early experiences shape who we are and how we behave? Why are we more likely to do what someone in uniform says? Are eye witness accounts of crime reliable? How could someone with arachnophobia be treated? How can science help romantic relationships last? Assessment is by three two-hour exams at the end of two years of study.
5 GCSEs at grade 5 or above including English and Maths as well as meeting subject entry requirements. 5 in GCSE Maths AND ENGLISH Language
