The course focuses on four areas of study; Education, Family, Crime and Belief systems. Key questions include: Why do working class children not perform as well in exams? Is the education system fair? Is housework shared equally? Is childhood really a positive experience? Why do people commit crime? Why is some crime not punished? Is religion a good thing? Assessment is by three two-hour exams at the end of two years of study.
5 GCSEs at grade 5 or above including English and Maths as well as meeting subject entry requirements. 5 in GCSE English Language
