BTEC music allows students to develop their skills as a performer, composer and all-round music practitioner. Students will be introduced to wider areas of the music industry, including management, promotion and publishing. This course can be studied alongside other A level or vocational qualifications. Students will perform as both a soloist and in an ensemble, focusing on their stage craft and technical ability on their chosen instrument. Students will learn how to plan and prepare for performance work, developing music industry ready skills. Students will create music material in the form of original compositions and the arrangement of existing work, utilising professional standard equipment and facilities. Students will develop their knowledge and understanding of the music industry, planning their career path and producing an industry research project.
4 GCSEs at grade 4 or above including English and/or Maths. We will consider students who achieve a 3 in English if they have a 4 in Maths and vice versa. 5 in GCSE Music
