Course summary

Learn how to use a variety of two dimensional and three dimensional processes to create art that is personal, purposeful and meaningful. This is a GCSE that encourages you to be an artist and learn about other artists. You will learn skills such as: painting, printmaking, sculpture, casting, drawing and learn how to be creative. You will: Enjoy creating artworks, have an interest in other artists, enjoy creating things, like experimenting and be willing to try new things.

Entry requirements

This curriculum provides students with industry-relevant vocational training and all qualifications are UCAS eligible meaning that students graduated with high levels of UCAS points. Please note, our post-16 offer is a Level 3 provision. Therefore, in order to be considered for a place at Elstree Screen Arts Academy at Post 16, we require all students to achieve five 9-4 grade GCSE or equivalent (including English and Maths). We also require students to achieve a grade 6 or higher in a related subject to the area they wish to study at level 3.

Personal investigation: Me / Mine 60%. Externally Set module 40%.
