Extended Certificate in Business is a subject, directly related to the exciting real world of business. You will learn by completing tasks and assignments that are based on realistic workplace situations activities and projects. The course consists of 5 units including 3 mandatory units and 2 optional units. The mandatory units are: • The Business Environment • Working in Business • Customers and Communication The optional units will be chosen to fit the needs and interests of the students on the course.
Grade 4 or above in English Language and Grade 4 or above in 3 other GCSEs
The Level 3 Extended Certificate is coursework and exam based. After you have been taught how to complete the assignments, you will be closely guided through the completion of drafts of all of your work. All coursework is marked by your teachers and some moderated by the exam board. 2 out of the 5 units will be assessed by externally set examination from the exam board.
