Course summary

This course is free for adults who qualify for funding via The National Skills Fund. This government fund aims to help adults to gain the skills that are most sought by employers. This will help them improve their job prospects, and support economic recovery. This qualification gives you the opportunity to learn about and build on the essentials of working within the countryside, such as estate skills, population surveys, safe use of equipment and machinery, land use and recreation and environmental processes. Entry requirements

4 x GCSEs at grade 4 or above which must include either maths or English. OR Level 2 Diploma in Agriculture achieved at Merit AND either maths or English at GCSE grade (4) with the other GCSE at grade 3.

How you'll be assessed

To achieve this qualification you will sit an exam in March followed by a practical synoptic assessment. In addition to this you will need to complete 150 Industry Placement and 3 specialist unit assessments.
