This level 3 Diploma is an advanced vocational hairdressing qualification that focuses on the development of the underlying principles and practical skills required in the hairdressing industry. It is designed to deliver occupational capability and provide a sound platform from which to prepare for employment or progress as a senior stylist or barber.
Applicants will need to have achieved a Level 2 qualification in hairdressing or barbering together with the necessary personal qualities required by the hair and beauty industry. The required Literacy and Numeracy skills are Level 2 or working towards Level 2. All applicants will be interviewed and cover an initial assessment of an industry-related task. Learners are required to complete practical assessments. Knowledge is assessed via online end tests and written question papers. Evidence is generated and presented in a portfolio. Functional Skills are required and are an essential part of this qualification.
