Spanish
Course summary
As one of the most widely spoken languages in the world, Spanish is extremely useful. You will further develop the skills you gained at GCSE of speaking, listening, reading and writing. You will learn about different aspects of Spanish culture, social and political issues, literature and film, and be able to use more complex grammar and vocabulary. This will enable you to really develop an understanding of the language, the countries where Spanish is spoken and the people who speak it. As the course progresses, you might choose to study particular aspects of Spanish culture in more depth, for example literature, film, or an area of interest to you on which you will conduct in-depth research, leading to a presentation and discussion in your oral examination.
