The A-level linear course covers a range of approaches to Psychology and explores the methods used by psychologists. 11 topics cover aspects of Psychology from different perspectives and include the psychodynamic (Freudian) approach, the biological approach, the cognitive approach, and the behavioral approach. You will learn about the main ideas in psychology and how psychologists work. We look at a range of key topics including the psychology of relationships, theories of aggression, schizophrenia, and media. Issues and debates, such as free will vs determinism, in psychology and research methods underpin the whole course.
