You are likely to work for a business at some point in the future unless you decide to run your own. Either way, knowing how businesses operate can be crucial in helping to manage one – regardless of what department you work in. Businesses have to consider a variety of these issues, including many more. Therefore, it is no wonder that business degrees and higher-level apprenticeships have become one of the most popular courses because everyone is talking BUSINESS, so come and join us! IS THIS COURSE FOR ME? We start by looking at what is necessary to start up a small business, then consider the financial, marketing, human resources, and operational aspects of running a business, and finally consider the issues facing businesses in the real world.
Our course centre requirements for all courses are grade 4 or above in 5 subjects including GCSE English Language and GCSE Mathematics with a good attitude to learning. Course centre requirements + minimum grade 5 in English and maths. Minimum grade 5 in business.
We will consider a broad overview of topics, ranging from looking at: • How can we motivate staff? And why is this so important? • What strategic direction should the business take? And what do top business theorists say on this matter? • How can we ensure that our business has a healthy financial state? • What can we do operationally to reduce costs, so that the marketing guys can reduce our prices? • How will a diverse range of cultures globally impact our business?
