As well as gaining an appreciation of Information Technology in the workplace, this qualification is primarily a coursework based programme. BTEC Nationals are equivalent to A-levels and are highly valued by universities, further education colleges and employers alike.
To study a double Level 3 Vocational course plus 1 or 2 A Level subjects we require at least 2 grade 6 and 3 grade 5 passes at GCSE (these grades are our minimum requirement for any combination of courses).
Information Technology Systems - The role of computer systems and the implications of their use in personal and professional situations. - Assessed through a 2-hour written exam which is based upon a scenario. Website Development - An in-depth investigation into the design and usage of websites across all platforms. You will investigate a variety of web development principles and use HTML5 and CSS to create a website to meet the requirements of a business of your choice. - Assessed through 2 assignments.
