Course summary

The EPQ is a qualification that is scaffolded to support you in developing your independent study skills. It is an independent research qualification and the outcome is not prescriptive: you are guided and supported to develop an outcome of your choice. This could be an extended essay of around 5,000 words (most popular option) or a field study, or an artefact of varying outcome (film, book, art installation, clothing, computing project, an event, magazine etc!) with a commentary of 1500 words upwards. You are supervised and guided by a member of staff, with taught skills delivered in weekly timetabled lessons.
