Course summary

Spanish language and grammar through the study of different aspects of Hispanic society including modern and traditional values, equality, cyberspace, Spanish regional identity and cultural heritage, multiculturalism, immigration, racism, integration, politics, monarchies and dictatorships and popular movements. You will also explore artistic culture including the study of the film ‘Pan’s Labyrinth’ by Guillermo del Toro and the play ‘The House of Bernarda Alba’ by Lorca

Entry requirements

GCSE (6) in Spanish If you do not have a relevant GCSE qualification but have a high level of proficiency in the language a 1:1 review can be carried out with the head of department to assess your suitability.
