Why an Extended Project Qualification? Undertaking an “EPQ” gives you the opportunity to study something of your own choice and design. The project can be essay-based/field study/ performance or artifact. The EPQ is based on university-style independent but supervised learning and is equivalent to an AS Level. Students can gain up to 28 UCAS points to contribute towards university entry requirements, or simply add value to apprenticeship or work applications. Projects designed by previous and current students are diverse and challenging: “Is our current approach to protecting against human African trypanosomiasis appropriate?”, “Does the overuse of technology really affect people’s eyesight?”, “Is murder ever morally justifiable?”
Minimum Sixth Form entry requirement, plus: Aptitude for independent work and enthusiasm for your chosen project area of work
None
