The study of language as a symbolic system used to assert power in society is also fundamental to the scope of this specification. Sixth Form requires six passes at GCSE Level (Grades 9-5) including English and at least a Grade 4 in Maths. A GCSE Grade 6 is required in a subject if you would like to continue it at A-Level, but a high Grade 5 will be considered (from Higher Tier examinations only if applicable).
