This course is designed for students who wish to study Health & Social Care alongside other A Level subjects. The programme will offer you the skills, knowledge and experience needed to successfully progress on to university or employment in the social care, social work or healthcare sectors. You will cover four key topics: • Human lifespan development: The biological, psychological and sociological theories associated with human lifespan development. • Meeting individual care and support needs: The values and skills required for a career in social care or health care. • Working in health and social care: The roles and responsibilities of health and social care practitioners and the organisations they work for. • Psychological perspectives: How to apply them in a work setting. This course is equivalent to (and generates the same UCAS points as) one full A Level.
You must hold at least five GCSEs at grade 4 or above, including Maths and English Language.
