This course seeks to develop knowledge and understanding of philosophy, religions and ethics alongside the skills of enquiry, reflection and critical analysis; it is an excellent preparation for most subjects at university. Students will enjoy the opportunity to develop their own opinions and ideas during the course. The world religion chosen as a focus in Unit 1 will be Buddhism. Units 2 and 3 focus significantly but not exclusively on Christianity.
The minimum entry requirement is Grade 5 in English and Mathematics plus 4 Grade 5 GCSEs. In addition a minimum Grade 6 is required to study this subject.
