Course summary

If you really enjoy Mathematics or you wish to study a Mathematics, Physics or Engineering course at university then you should consider studying Further Mathematics. You will need a grade 7 or above in GCSE Mathematics and must be willing to spend much of your spare time studying this subject. Further Mathematics must be combined with an A Level in Mathematics as it builds and extends the knowledge learnt in the single Maths A-Level. The rewards for passing this course are great as the subject is highly regarded by universities. It shows that students can possess excellent problem solving skills and are well organised in their own learning and development as a mathematician. Further Mathematics should not be chosen lightly as it is a very challenging and difficult course.
