This two-year course will allow you to develop a deep knowledge and understanding of the range of necessary skills needed for a future in the Criminal Justice or Public Services Sector. Covering topics from law, psychology, and sociology to criminal justice and crime scene investigation, this course serves as great preparation for future work and is a fantastic stepping stone for anyone interested in further study within this field. You will learn about the process from the crime scene to the courtroom and explore criminological theories all while strengthening your leadership skills for the workplace. Upon successful completion of this qualification, learners can explore a range of career options in the Uniformed Services and Criminal Justice System at HE and apprenticeship levels. Alternatively, learners can progress onto a higher-level qualification within the Criminal Justice or Public Services field. This course is also offered at Levels 4, 5, and 6 with our higher education partner, UCEN Manchester. Students progressing from The Manchester College will receive a cash award through the Achievers Scholarship.
A minimum of 4 GCSEs at grade 4 or above, including English or maths, or prior achievement at Level 2 Functional Skills in English or maths. A merit or higher at vocational Level 2 or NVQ Level 2 may be considered as a GCSE equivalent.
This course includes four formal examinations; two internally moderated, and two externally moderated. Learners will also be expected to complete graded course work throughout the duration of the course.
