This is a two year course aimed at people who are interested in this vocational area. Students must pass all units to achieve the BTEC Level 3 90 credit Diploma in Travel and Tourism in year 1. The units cover a wide range of tourist and travel agents operational activities. After successful completion of this course students can progress on to the Level 3 Extended diploma in Travel and Tourism and study Level 2 Cabin Crew. The method of learning is a mixture of both tutor led and practical sessions. Tutors expect full participation in learning activities. This course is ideal for you if you have an interest in travel and wish to gain a Level 3 qualification before progressing to either Higher Education or employment.
Four GCSEs at Grade 4 or Level 2 in Travel, or another appropriate BTEC Level 2 including English and maths at GCSE grade 3.
There is no end test within this course and varying methods of assessment will be used: - Observations - Role Play - Professional Discussions - Written Tasks - Presentations
