You will study Women's Hairdressing The units you will study are likely to include: - Monitor and Maintain Health and Safety - Consultation Support - Styling and Dressing Hair - Cutting - Colouring - Promote Products and Services All units are subject to change and may be withdrawn. During your time at College the emphasis will be placed on both the practical and theory aspects of the course. You also need time to study, to practise at home and set time aside for revision for exams and/or assignments. Please be aware that you will be expected to set aside a minimum of four hours a week for this in addition to the 3 hours in class. Initially, following current government guidelines, students will work on each other therefore they should be prepared to allow other students to practise on them. They will be assessed on external clients who will pay for their services. Please note that should you provide a client for a practical assessment a £1 registration fee is required, plus the cost of the service. In line with Northampton College's policy on Equal Opportunities, classes and the client base may be of mixed gender. This course is ideal for you if you are interested in hairdressing and wish to gain a Level 3 qualification in Women's Hairdressing and have already achieved a Level 2.
Level 2 Certificate in Women's Hairdressing and a telephone interview with a member of the hairdressing team. You also need to have a good level of written and spoken English and able to use a computer to access the internet, send emails and use basic word applications.
